Shavan Young (Director of Grant and Research)

About our Board

Shavan Young is a diligent and analytical rising Director of Program and Policy Management with 10 years of progressive leadership experience managing critical issues related to adult and adolescent behavioral development, social advocacy, crisis recovery, and socio-economic equity. She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice Sociology Criminology from San Jose State University in 2009 and her M.P.A. Master in Public Administration and Human Resources from National University in 2012. She is currently completing her certification in (PMP) Projection Management Professional. She occasionally volunteers for her Sorority and participates in community activities. Shavan is a dedicated and outgoing professional with impeccable people and infrastructure management skills with an outstanding ability to leverage intervention, audit administration, and leadership coaching across matrixed organizations. Shavan is also a process-focused leader with a superior ability to evaluate procedural gaps and provide impact-based solutions proven to accelerate results and drive change management at scale.
